DECORATIVE TIMBER SAND CASTLE
This Decorative timber sand castle" is carved from a selected peice of naturally fallen timber - Coolibah burl & is a craft of beauty to behold! A similar toy was originally made in Switzerland in the late 1700s.To display the castle, simply turn the block upside down with a sharp flick. The smaller pieces are thrown into position & will wedge into place. (sometimes the harder timbers need a slight tug of the towers to wedge them firmly) To close, hold the castle upside down & lower onto a flat surface with a gentle tapping motion. Beautifully handmade by Tim Schloss.
